Job Title: Data Engineer/ Architect

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer/ Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our data infrastructure, pulling in information from various store systems, ERP's, CRM's, HRIS, and more. This is a foundational role, and you will be responsible for maturing our data warehouse to drive significant value for the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Integration:
- Extract data from multiple sources, including store systems, ERP's, CRM's, HRIS, etc., and load it into the Data Warehouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure seamless integration.
2. Project Focus:
- Take ownership of key projects related to data integration and warehouse enhancement.
- Work closely with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
- Contribute to the development and execution of project plans, ensuring successful project delivery.
3. Data Environment Ownership:
- Own and manage the data environment to ensure the stability, reliability, and security of the Data Warehouse.
- Implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and efficiency of the data infrastructure.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest and implement innovative solutions.
5. Support & Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support for data-related issues, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies to ensure system health.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in the Microsoft BI Stack, including but not limited to SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proven experience in data integration and working with diverse data sources.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
