Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented Senior Underwriter to join our esteemed Property & Casualty team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in underwriting both new and renewal business for financial institutions. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement for candidates based in the Shaker Heights, OH area, with the flexibility for remote work supplemented by occasional office visits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate risks for selection/rejection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability, aligning with divisional objectives.
- Exercise independent judgment to drive business goals and uphold a high standard of customer service.
- Analyze coverage requests, determine appropriate terms, and price business in accordance with company guidelines.
- Assess risk quality and compliance, initiating necessary loss prevention actions.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to attract and retain profitable business.
- Interpret and market products and services while adhering to underwriting rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Liberal Arts, or related field.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in P&C Commercial lines; candidates with 6-10 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Progress toward relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, ARM).
- P&C Insurance License preferred; candidates must obtain their license within the first 6 months of employment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00, commensurate with experience and location.
