Job description
The Lead Behavior Analyst is the behavioral lead for assigned clients and addresses goals and areas of client need across the home, day setting, and community environments, by assessing the current needs, developing programs, and monitoring the implementation of prescribed programs, and training the necessary team members. The Lead Behavior Analyst adheres to the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis and the Behavior Analysis Certification Board’s Code of Ethics in all aspects of service delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, implements, and monitors behavior support plans as they relate to ISP outcomes and prescribed medical treatments across settings
- Measures goals and objectives of behavior support plans and analyzes results to ensure they are being met.
- Conducts all interactions with clients and internal and external team members in a positive, professional, and caring manner
- Collaborates and communicates regularly with internal and external team members, including but not limited to families, providers, and Supports Coordination Organizations
- Trains and supports the development of Vista Adult Service’s direct support professionals on implementation of ISP outcomes, behavior support plans, restrictive procedures and prescribed programming across environments
- Communicates with assigned staff and team members to discuss programming, staff fidelity of treatment, and training needs
- Provides coaching to all team members in a supportive and collaborative manner and receives and implements coaching from others to improve performance
- Adds to the capacity of the department through development of systems and processes as well as training to fellow department members and those staff working through the BCBA Fieldwork and internship activities
- Develops and provides training to Vista employees and stakeholders of assigned cases on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Effectively assesses client needs and areas of growth to inform treatment planning process
- Leads treatment plan review meetings
- Maintains and submits all required documentation by expected deadlines including quarterly progress notes, billing documentation, etc.
- Engages in professional development as assigned by Vista, and outside Vista in accordance with areas of professional interest and in adherence to requirements to maintain certifications; seeks “expert” understanding in areas of professional interest; contributes to growth of other Vista staff across programs in areas with expertise
- Completes other duties as assigned
Salary: $78,000/YR and Upward
EXPECTED SCHEDULE
This is a minimum full time 40 hour per week position. Days and hours of the workweek are agreed upon by management, the client’s schedule, and the Adult Services calendar. The Lead Behavior Analyst may be expected to deliver services or training in an assigned client home as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in related field highly Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related service field required
- Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches training required
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders required
- Previous experience or knowledge delivering Applied Behavior Analysis programming and methodology required
- High proficiency of Microsoft Office products and Internet applications required
- Ability to implement, train, and coach other staff on the implementation of services and proper crisis prevention and intervention techniques required
- Successful completion of CPR and First Aid training required
- Clean driving record, valid PA driver’s license, current vehicle inspection, up-to-date vehicle registration, and proof of adequate insurance coverage required
- Required passing of all pre-employment regulatory and safety-sensitive employee requirements including, but not limited to, PPD testing, physical exam, and drug tests
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Behavior Analyst Board Certification Required
- Behavior Specialist Licensure Required
- Current First Aid and CPR Training highly desired
- Ability to independently problem solve and make quick decisions required
- Demonstrated accountability, leadership, and organizational skills required
