About the Team
The Disney Platform Distribution Sales team is seeking a Sales Coordinator Intern to be an outstanding addition to our team! The Platform Distribution Sales team is responsible for distribution of content for the best brands in the business including ABC, ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu, working with leading media companies like Amazon, LG, DIRECTV, Dish, and Microsoft and in key strategic verticals such as retail, airlines and many more. Be a part of the team that negotiates sophisticated distribution agreements for Disney’s linear networks, direct-to-consumer products, TV everywhere applications and video on-demand services.
The Sales Coordinator Intern will play a supporting role in projects that help craft Disney Platform Distribution’s long-term strategy and assist with the team’s operational and administrative tasks. The right person for this role has proven organization, communication and analytical skills and is an individual that can grow to manage various responsibilities of content distribution and audience growth partnerships including: business development & research, implementing partnership strategies, managing processes, understanding contractual compliance as well as successfully managing accounts with internal constituents, including Content, Marketing, Technology, Finance and Legal departments to successfully drive Disney’s content distribution priorities. Finally, they think big, learn quickly, and approach everything with passion.

Responsibilities
- Organizational tasks to support team and client management (e.g., presentation, email and verbal updates, programming calendars, provide tickets) to support Sales efforts across diverse set of platform partners.
- Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.
- Account negotiation and executive material prep
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal partners (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) to support deal flow.
Basic Qualifications
- Positive “can-do” and problem solving demeanor
- General understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail to assist team with account and client management
- Proven written (clear, concise, complete communications), verbal, quantitative/modeling skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong analytical thinker who can quickly identify and evaluate sophisticated information break it down into component parts and make strong recommendations to the executive team
- Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Work or education experience in business, finance, management consulting, strategy, or law
- Proven experience in media, technology, and/or subscription business models
- Experience in contract review and interpretation
Required Education
- Bachelors (or working towards a bachelor or management degree)
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must be able to work on-site in New York City and have reliable transportation to/from work
- Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through August 2024. Candidate must be available to work 40 hours/week in Eastern Standard time for the duration of the internship- could include nights and weekends
