Job Summary:

The Junior Estimator will collaborate with the Senior Estimator to ensure projects are accurately estimated for cost, revenue, and materials associated with projects. Complete estimating tasks including plan take-offs, collection of job-related data, including driving the projects, and other relevant details. Will independently develop estimates for smaller jobs.

Pay range - $75,000 to $85,000 annually.  A company truck will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals, and assess the technical aspects of the job.

· Mine information from current systems and develop processes to monitor and improve data that is utilized to estimate and operate.

· Complete Workload tracking for Roads.

· Become familiar with administrative tasks associated with estimating, pre-letting, and post-letting.

· Continuously gain knowledge about the company through key staff members such as Leadership and Production Managers/Foremen. Expand knowledge in all production areas of the business.

· Evaluate processes and workflows that may enhance various areas of operation within the company. Make recommendations to the Senior Estimator and implement processes as requested.

· Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework preferred.

· 2 + years of contract estimating, or management is a plus, similar work experience will be considered.

· Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate experience.

· Prior construction and contract experience is preferred.

· HCSS HeavyBid software experience is preferred.
