Reporting to the Director of Pacific Recreation, the Assistant Director, Pacific Recreation – Fitness & Wellness is responsible for providing leadership, independent judgement, management decisions and direction in the assigned program areas: Fitness Programs (Tiger X Classes and Tiger Training), Baun Fitness Center Operations, and Students’ Holistic Wellness.

Pacific Recreation: Our vision is our Pacific Community will have a foundation for life-long wellbeing through our idea of Move, Play, and Explore. Pacific Recreation is the campus recreation program at the University of the Pacific. The department is responsible for meeting the recreational needs of the Stockton campus while providing support to the Sacramento and San Francisco Campuses. Programs for the department including Tiger X Classes (Group Fitness Classes), Personal Training, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Tiger Escapes (Outdoor Adventures), Informal Recreation, Special Events, Wellness Initiatives, and the Baun Fitness Center. Facilities utilized by the department include the Baun Fitness Center, Brookside Field, Gardemeyer Field, Main Gym and Janssen-Lagorio Gym. The 175-acre campus is regularly ranked as one of the most beautiful college campuses in America.
