JOB SUMMARY
As a POET Grain Accountant , you will have the chance to work directly with some of our great suppliers and customers of our business. You will also memorialize these interactions in our general ledger and supporting systems as your work plays an integral role in maintaining our customer service and cash flow, while also providing the foundation for building our financial statements. DURING A TYPICAL DAY
- Generate invoices daily and review for accuracy before distribution to the customer
- Process grain settlements, and issue payments to our suppliers
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, preparing related accruals as needed
- Maintain and update process documentation for role
- Since we are all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!
QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including MS Excel and Outlook
- Experience working with financial statements
