Springfield Treatment Center is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide compassionate care to our clients!

$5,000 hiring bonus paid in increments.

Springfield Treatment Center is an adult outpatient opioid treatment program/substance abuse treatment provider focused on treating those suffering from an addiction to opioids (pain pills, heroin, morphine, etc.) through a combination of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with either methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone, detoxification, and intensive one-on-one and group counseling, all in an outpatient setting. Our goal is to partner with each individual we serve to accomplish a personalized treatment program that leads them to live a healthy, productive, addiction free life.

We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for early morning hours 5:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. M-F and 6:00 - 11:00 a.m. on rotating Saturdays. Competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Medical Assistant assists the medical staff by collecting data via assessment tools and providing to the nurse and physician/NP for review and signature. Communicates client care concerns and client status updates and progress in a timely manner to the appropriate nursing team member. Also communicates any recognized abnormality in a client's signs and symptoms to individuals who are authorized to receive the information and need to know. The Medical Assistant will function as a backup for the administrative coordinator role as required.

Qualifications and Skills

ORTC is an apprenticeship site for United We Heal (UWH). United We Heal works with behavioral health professionals and behavioral health employers to collectively develop robust, industry-specific training opportunities for individuals pursuing QMHA, CADC or Medical Assistant certifcation. While engaged in the apprenticeship, the individual will receive supervision and on-the-job training from ORTC. Participants in the apprenticeship program will not have any cost for the training. Along with receiving completely free education and paid training, individuals in the program also receive additional financial stipends and support based on individual need.
