We are currently seeking a caring and passionate individual to fill the role of Certified Medical Assistant. Previous experience in a physician office or other medical setting is a plus, but our company is willing to train the right individual who enjoys working with patients. The ideal candidate will excel at providing high-quality care and communicating with both doctors and patients effectively, while also maintaining a professional demeanor when appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit
- Perform preliminary physical tests; take blood pressure, weight, and temperature; report patient history summary
- Prepare patients for provider exam based on chief complaint directing and accompanying them to the examining room
- Sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining LAB/Xray reports and hospital notes to provide Provider with complete patient history
- Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions
- Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential
- Complete forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and claims can be properly billed
- Checking schedules and organizing patient flow to help minimize wait time and efficiently communicate delays to patients
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Screen and direct patient calls according to protocol.
- Administer vaccines and complete required documentation. Perform diagnostic tests such as 6MW, etc. as needed, directed, and under the supervision of the Physician.
