At Empower, a Software Developer plays an instrumental role in delivering technology solutions, working both independently and collaboratively across multiple teams. This role is instrumental in developing high-quality software that conforms to approved design patterns and aligns with Architecture goals and objectives. Software Developers are responsible for the ongoing support of complex applications, including new feature work, improvements on existing code, maintaining systems excellence, and active participation in designing and deploying production deliverables.
What You Will Do - Build and troubleshoot integration between Empower systems under the direction/supervision of more senior Developers.
- Operate efficiently and effectively within the team-specific SDLC lifecycle and process, in alignment with broader departmental or divisional lifecycle and process.
- Participates effectively in Quality Assurance methodologies and solutions in support of business needs
- Respond to and resolve low to medium-complexity issues.
- Performs application unit testing, ensuring delivery meets business needs.
- Prepares appropriate documentation from which systems and solutions are supported and maintained.
- Completes other duties as assigned
What Will Set You Apart - 0-1 years of experience
- Experience with frameworks, libraries, databases, and cloud technologies
- “Can do” attitude while demonstrating a strong work ethic
- Practical and/or theoretical experience with Agile software development and test-driven development
- Practical and/or theoretical building of highly scalable web applications
- Demonstrates continuous learning of new technologies
- Self-motivated individual who thrives in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field of study preferred.

Base Salary Range $55,800.00 - $76,800.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
