Title: Metallurgical Engineer
Location: La Crosse, WI
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
Requirements: Metallurgy, BAHX, AutoCAD

This is a FULL-TIME on-site position, working in our La Crosse, WI plant.

We have been in business for over 160 years and have over 1,000 employees! We are currently doing well. Over the last 2 years, we have increased our headcount by 12% in our engineering group. We have acquired 6 companies in the last 3 years.

We are currently in the process of all new development with a new product line. Due to this, we need a metallurgical engineer to help spearhead this new development while working alongside our Process, Quality, Design and Mechanical Engineering teams. We will also look to you to help train our production workers on which metals to treat and how to treat them.

What You Will Be Doing

We will have you initiate continuous improvement programs. If you do not have experience in this area, that is fine, we have a Six Sigma program to help our team members achieve their black belts.
Conduct metallurgical investigations for process control, and material or product development.
Be an SME and provide material recommendations for new product development.
Work with our sales and marketing departments to help them understand BAHX product support to better educate the end client.
Develop metallographic procedures.
Create training activities for production employees.
