Job Overview Logisticsposition that will serve and develop business logistic services for a portfolioof preferred carriers to create lane density. This position will alsoadequately respond to the customer's freight and logistics requirements
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks) • Responsible for carrier prospecting, management,negotiations and relations leading to a strong long-term strategic partnership.
• Monitor and assess carrier portfolios, continuallystrengthening relationships with existing carriers, and finding and developingnew carriers.
• Learn brokerage pricing techniques and tools, andmarket awareness and knowledge to effectively secure business while buildingthe carrier portfolio.
• Learn to assess risk and guard against unforeseen riskto the company and recommend solutions and counsel others.
• Develop a workingknowledge of a strategic carrier capacity and network.
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills,attributes) • 2 - 4year degree in Business Management, Logistics, or equivalent experiencerequired.
• Advancedcommunication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Excellentinterpersonal skills

• Abilityto work in a team environment to continuously improve results.

• WORKINGCONDITIONS This position will be required to work in an office environment withmoderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation isrequired to: Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. • Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularlyoperate other office productivity machines. • Occasionally ascend/descendstairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects. • Frequently communicatewith peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchangeaccurate information and answer questions. • Occasionally attend meetings in buildingsoutside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internalconditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
• Traveldomestically as necessary.
