The Key Account Manager will be responsible for strategically managing relationships with Allied distributor partners while prioritizing growth and achieving higher market share.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop strong relationships with Allied customers and their dealers to ensure high customer satisfaction and positive long-term relationships.
- Serve as the main point of contact for designated key customers, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries.
- Train and educate customer personnel for correct product application and assist in recommending selections that encourage product mix.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to drive sales and execute promotion plans.
- Skillfully communicate customer sales plans in a clear and compelling manner to a variety of stakeholders.
- Present strategic business development opportunities and updates to executive leadership.
- Manage pricing contracts and long-term agreements with key accounts.
- Provide and facilitate marketing, product, sales, product, and program training.
- Coach and mentor distributor sales representatives and their customers.
- Partner with various internal team members to ensure a cohesive and impactful relationships.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the HVAC industry, including emerging trends and regulations.
- Monitor and report on market trends and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations to reach organizational objectives.
- Remote-based opportunity with 60% travel expected. The position can be based out of Ohio. Relocation assistance is available if required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time. Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Effective at written and verbal communication. Requires general industry and product knowledge. Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
The total Compensation range for this position is approximately $98k - $128k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
