SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Principal DevSECOps Engineer to join a dynamic and mission oriented team. This position is remote. 

The candidate will support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Space Commerce (OSC), requires system integration and cloud management for the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS). The TraCSS will be developed to help relevant US government agencies to begin re-assigning many aspects of space traffic management (STM) and space traffic coordination (STC) serving non-military US space operators.

TraCSS is the Department of Commerce's enterprise solution for ingesting, archiving, processing, and disseminating Space Situational Awareness (SSA) data and products. TraCSS will provide conjunction analysis and warning services to commercial satellite owner/operators to foster economic growth and technological advancement of the U.S. commercial space industry. The system will store data from the Department of Defense (DOD), NOAA, commercial SSA data providers, commercial and civil satellite Owner/Operators (O/O) and select international civil partners.

Responsibilities Include:

· Accountable for overseeing the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) of the working product, which entails the following responsibilities:

- Working with the Development, Engineering, Architecture, and Testing teams to define the set of tools and processes for the continuous delivery pipeline.

- Working with the Security Lead to ensure that the tools are compliant with security requirements.

- Working with the Security Lead to streamline the ATO process from a tools and technical process perspective.

- Working with the Testing Lead to automate testing where possible.

- Working with the Operations Lead to ensure that the CI/CD processes align with operational requirements.

· Design, deploy, operate, and maintain resilient secure Cloud environments to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible.

· Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Iac) and SRE principles.

· Maintenance and ongoing development of automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.

· Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.

· Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.

Qualifications

Required Education: 

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience

Required Experience:         

• Bachelor’s and nine years or more of related experience. Experience with DevSecOps, familiarity with Scrum, and familiarity with and use of issue tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira) for software application and development tracking.
• Working with tools and technologies in, at a minimum, two of the following areas: software development, configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, cloud services, open source technologies.
• Experience developing, deploying and running containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo Workflows; supporting authority to operate; using a continuous development, continuous integration pipeline; tracking and documentation.

Citizenship: 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. 

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
