Job description
The Audit Manager will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) responsible for leading and managing audits for a variety of clients in the public and private sectors. The Audit Manager will provide in-charge and lead audit engagement services as well as train, mentor, and supervise staff.
Position Overview: The Audit Manager will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements and providing high-quality, client-focused audit services to a variety of public and private sector clients. They will also take lead and in-charge roles and provide guidance, training, and mentoring to staff. The Audit Manager will review financial and accounting matters for real estate, construction, manufacturing, non-for-profit, EBP, government, SEC, and corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Provide in-charge and lead audit services to public and private sector clients.
- Develop, review, and revise audit programs, workpapers, and financial statements.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff.
- Review various types of financial and accounting matters in real estate, construction, manufacturing, non-for-profit, EBP, government, SEC, and corporate entities.
- Ensure audit engagements are conducted according to applicable professional standards.
Qualifications:
- CPA Required
- Prior experience as an Audit Manager
- Minimum 3 years of experience Auditing Credit Unions
- Minimum 5 years of Public Accounting experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
