Human Resources Generalist

Job description
The Human Resources Generalist will play an important role in building a strong employer brand for our company to ensure we attract, hire and retain the most qualified employees as well as support current training initiatives.
Recruitment
- Develop creative methods and techniques to source, identify and recruit quality candidates for open positions
- Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed and CareerBuilder
- Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates
- Coordinate job postings, conduct pre-screening/selection of incoming resumes, perform telephone interviews
- Manage candidate processes (schedule meetings/tests, etc.) and give feedback to the candidates
- Ensure the timely and quality hiring for vacant and new positions
- Develop and implement strategies for attracting middle and high school students to technical and professional career paths
Training and Development
- Serve as co-administrator for Moodle Workplace platform
- Provide both functional and technical expertise to end users of the company LMS
- Review, upload, and test learning content
- Convert instructor-led training (ILT) to e-learning based content
- Handle training logistics and classroom setup.
- Support other HR-related activities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field required
- 1-3 years’ experience in an HR-related position preferred
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
- Previous recruiting experience desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and use sound judgment
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research skills are required
- Some travel required (10-20%)
