Job Summary
IMI is seeking a part-time Safety Administrative Assistant local to our Watkinsville, GA area. This position will be expected to work 2-3 days/week; approximately 20 hours/week.
Essential Functions
The Safety Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the company's Safety Division with a broad range of administrative duties, including documentation, data entry and office clerical duties.
- Coordinate directly with Safety Manager, HR and other management staff as needed.
- Maintain all safety documentation; ensure electronic filing and data entry is current.
- Process and maintain proper training documentation of employees to meet federal, state, local & company safety regulations.
- Facilitate all scheduling of safety department meetings, training sessions, and customer site visits.
- Assist and coordinate any HR related documentation.
- Assist with incident/injury investigation documentation and recordkeeping.
- Perform new hire, random, and incident related drug screens.
- Coordinate PPE and safety equipment requests with field and shop management, including the issue/return of PPE, inspection documentation & proper recordkeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Office/administrative work experience.
- Experience in a safety field is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe, and internet-based systems.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
- Occasionally lift items weighing 10-20 pounds.
- Must be able to remain in a seated position for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard operating equipment.
