Position Available: Vice President of Finance & Administration
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Vice President of Finance & Administration or Chief Financial Officer to drive our client's growth and success.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least 15 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership within a high-growth, dynamic business setting.
- Background in transportation/logistics or B2B product sales industries.
- A preferred profile of specific characteristics and traits.
- Proximity to South Bend, Indiana, or willingness to relocate, with an expectation of office presence for a minimum number of days per week.
Role in the Executive Team: As a crucial member of our executive leadership, this role focuses on enhancing revenue and profit margins. Responsibilities include leading team development, refining processes and procedures, advancing IT systems, strategic planning, operational support, and overseeing human resources management. Reporting and Collaboration:
- Reports directly to the President.
- Collaborates with the CEO, VP of Operations & Supply Chain, VP of Sales & Marketing, and other teams as needed.
- Manages the finance and accounting teams, and potentially IT/Systems and Human Resources, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary: This role is pivotal in supporting revenue cycles, maximizing profitability, and ensuring the company's sustainable growth. The leader will manage and mentor their team to excel in a high-performance, customer-focused setting, constantly seeking process improvements and efficiency enhancements with a strong emphasis on people, profit, processes, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance collaboration and performance within the leadership team and across the organization.
- Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
- Handle all accounting functions and oversee financial asset management.
- Maintain IT security systems and oversee system enhancements.
- Manage ERP and CRM systems, and the implementation of new systems.
- Support payroll, human resources, sales team, and customer service initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting management/leadership.
- A 4-year Accounting degree, with an MBA and/or CPA being advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Great Plains) and understanding of system integration for efficiency.
Success Metrics:
- Smooth operation of back-end processes for credit, invoicing, and collections.
- Effective management of finance and accounting functions.
- Risk identification and mitigation.
- Leadership enhancements in HR, IT, and systems that bolster company productivity and profitability.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and organize boxes in the archive room.
