Mechanical Project Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in metals manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing capital equipment upgrades and managing various engineering projects within our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning, design, and implementation of capital equipment upgrades to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Take ownership of engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to gather requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Coordinate with external contractors/vendors for the procurement of equipment and services, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within a metals manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar).
