Dinsmore is seeking a commercial finance and banking paralegal at its Bloomington, IN location.
THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION.
This position requires a minimum of three years of experience with commercial transactions. Specific experience with assisting in real estate, construction financing, tax credits, public finance transactions, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA lending, affordable housing, and general corporate and transactional work is beneficial.
Requirements
- College degree, paralegal certificate, and/or relevant work experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Excel at managing deadlines, multiple work streams, and project status
- Extensive experience with commercial real estate closings and/or financing transactions, including the preparation of documents for closing (drafting, revising and updating closing checklists, Revisions/Redlines in Word, Preparing and compiling PDF documents, Generating Comparison documents, etc.)
- Critical review and analysis of commercial real estate due diligence including title, survey, zoning, organizational documents and resolutions
- Communicating and interfacing directly with title companies, searchers, recorders offices, surveyors, and opposing counsel
- Work well independently
- Polished written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to compile closing binders in an organized and efficient manner
- Ability to manage post-closing recordables
- Knowledgeable and proficient in DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
