Job description
Our Line Cooks prepare the signature, quality food our brand is known for. The ideal line cook cares about the details, remains calm in the face of multiple complicated tickets, and is willing to learn new cooking techniques and menu items. Perfect for those just beginning in the culinary field to take as an opportunity to learn their way around a kitchen without the stresses of a full-service restaurant.
Hours are 4:00p to 11 pm, Monday-Friday preferred, weekends as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently prepares food items as ordered.
- Exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices to deliver a quality product.
- Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes.
- Properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
- Review daily assignments with a supervisor.
- Plans for anticipated demand throughout the shift.
- Maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepares and maintains the line and par levels as the current menu requires.
- Keep the walk-in cooler/freezer organized.
- May assist with inventory, temp logs, and waste logs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of food service regulations.
- Skillfully uses hand tools or machines needed for the position.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy; able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
