The Job at a Glance

The Retention & Engagement Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring member satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term relationships with Credit Union 1. This position focuses on implementing strategies to enhance member engagement, reduce churn, and foster a positive member experience throughout the member journey. The specialist collaborates with various teams to ensure that members' needs are met, and they receive ongoing support and value from Credit Union 1's products or services.

A Typical Day

• Execute member engagement initiatives and programs to proactively connect with member's, build relationships, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new products or services to existing members.
• Analyze member data, behavior, and feedback to understand reasons for churn or dissatisfaction.
• Execute targeted retention strategies to minimize member attrition and increase member loyalty.
• Establish efficient channels of communication with members to gather feedback, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
• Work with member solutions team to ensure exceptional member service and issue resolution.
• Encourage member advocacy and increase retention rates with loyalty programs and incentives.
• Provide resources and guidance to members to maximize the value they receive from their membership.
• Empower members to make the most out of products and services by constant education.
• Adaptability
• Strong understanding of all products and services offered along with core systems.

What We Look For

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 1-2 years financial service or customer service experience preferred.
• Detail oriented.
• Keyboarding and computer skills.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in member service, member success and member retention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members effectively.
• Member-centric approach with a focus on building strong relationships and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
• Ability to handle high volume of inbound and outbound calls
