Job description
Ascension Global Staffing and Executive Search is seeking a Partner Level Products Liability Attorney for our Am Law 200 client.
We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Partner Level Products Liability Attorney to join our client's prestigious national law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in products liability law, with a specific focus on preferably consumer products, medical devices, and food products. Regulatory experience with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a significant advantage. This position is vital to our succession planning, as some of our senior attorneys are nearing retirement. The ideal candidate will also bring a portable book of business (required) to contribute to our firm's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Products Liability Expertise:
- Lead and manage complex products liability cases, including but not limited to consumer products, medical devices, and food products.
2. Regulatory Compliance (CPSC or FDA):
- Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on regulatory matters related to the CPSC and FDA as they pertain to product safety and compliance.
3. Case Management:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of products liability cases, including investigation, discovery, negotiations, and litigation.
4. Client Representation:
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings, ensuring their interests are well-protected and advocating on their behalf.
5. Succession Planning:
- Play a key role in the firm's succession planning, including mentoring junior attorneys and taking on leadership responsibilities.
6. Business Development:
- Bring a portable book of business to contribute to the firm's continued growth and client base expansion.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the relevant state bar association.
- Substantial experience in products liability law, with a focus on consumer products, medical devices, and food products.
- Regulatory experience with the CPSC or FDA is a significant plus.
- Demonstrated success in managing and leading products liability cases.
- Exceptional legal research, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Business development skills with a portable book of business.
- Strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
