The Rehab Services department focuses on providing exceptional care across a diverse range of specialized services, including Ortho Spine, Neurology, Cardiovascular Surgeries, Med/Surg, and ICU. Quality patient care takes priority, so ensuring that every Physical Therapist Assistant has a balanced workload is essential. This is achieved by implementing a productivity model of 80/20, allowing Physical Therapist Assistants to devote 80% of their time to direct patient care and 20% to documentation and other duties. Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is defined as a person licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy to assist a physical therapist in the delivery of treatment to patients with impairment in muscle movement and/or function resulting from injury or disease. The person in this position provides services to the following populations: Adults (Eighteen to seventy-five-year-olds) and Geriatrics (Seventy-five years and older)

Education
Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework

Licenses Certifications
*Healthcare Provider (CPR)
*Physical Therapist Assistant

Qualifications
*Comprehensive knowledge of physical therapy treatment procedures.
*Graduate of an educational program that prepares certified Physical Therapist assistants and which is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency and approved by the State Board of Physical Therapy.
*Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Physical Therapy.
