POSITION: Sales Manager, Ramsey Conference Center



REPORTS TO: Director, Ramsey Conference Center



SALARY: Upper $40’s to Low $50’s, based on education, qualifications and experience



EFFECTIVE: Position is available now



RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under minimal supervision, will direct and coordinate sales activities at the Ramsey Conference Center. Responsibilities include planning and implementing special events with customers’ requests while adhering to the policies of the Ramsey Conference Center. Will also communicate customers’ needs to other members of the Conference Center staff, including the Director, Operations Manager, Setup Crew Leader and AV Coordinator. Other work-related duties as determined by Director.



MAJOR DUTIES :

2. Handles customer service needs.

3. Performs regular office administration duties.

4. Apprises other staff members of their duties for each event.

5. Contacts outside vendors to schedule needs for events.

6. Coordinates with business office to balance payments for events.

7. Oversees Approved Caterers List.

8. Represents the Center at scheduled events or community functions as needed.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree in business, event management, or closely related field AND Two (2) years of work-related experience in a meeting/event planning environment as an assistant, meeting planner, wedding coordinator, or other related specialty. NOTE : Work experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis, i.e. high school graduate (or equivalent) and 6 years of work-related experience in a meeting/event planning environment as an assistant, meeting planner, wedding coordinator, or other related specialty.
