Summary:
We are seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer. As a Control Systems Engineer you will collaborate with various customers contributing to the design and development of control systems tailored to diverse manufacturing environments.
Job Duties:
- Provide application/control systems design and development for systems of varied complexity.
- Develop and assess alternative system solutions that meet specified requirements.
- Modify program/system logic across multiple systems and subsystems.
- Attain proficiency in multiple programming languages and control device networks for PLCs PCs or DCS systems.
- Engage with customers to comprehend the business environment defining scope plans and deliverables for assigned work.
- Work effectively in a matrix structure emphasizing customer service and personnel growth.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in industrial controls and system integration with a predominant focus (50%) on software design and programming.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks demonstrate excellent attention to detail and quickly learn new technologies.
- Experience in material handling or process control design development and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Rockwell SLC500 up to ControlLogix PLC Programming.
- PLCbased hardware design experience.
- Networking experience including EtherNet/IP ControlNet and DeviceNet (Profibus a plus).
- Schematic design using AutoCAD or similar.
- Successful interaction and collaboration with customers at various levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Willingness to work beyond core business hours if necessary to minimize business interruption during planned or unplanned system modifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Experience:
- CoDeSys experience.
- Mobile PLC controller.
- PID loops and motion control tuning.
- Servo design development and troubleshooting including advanced motion control systems (multiaxis coordinated axis applications).
- HMI programming experience.
- Vision system experience is a plus.
- Coordinating and integrating OEM equipment into Packaging and/or Material Handling systems.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of NEC electric code.
