Job description
Job Summary:
AbaCares Services is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to clients in their homes. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the healthcare/medical field.
Schedule:
- Mondays - Fridays : 10 AM - 6 PM : 40 hours weekly
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate of $14 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities
- Administer medication according to client’s care plan
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and your supervisor
- Keep accurate records of client care and daily activities
- Attend training and workshops to expand your knowledge and skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- CPR/First Aid certification (can be obtained after hire)
