What You Need For This Position
- Comes from a CNC Shop as a machinist or estimator
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a machine shop (preferred)
What You Will Be Doing
- Effectively establish procedures and documentation that communicate planning, production goals, and improvement efforts.
- Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine information, such as material to be used, type and sequence of operations required.
- Ensure adequate usage and supply of all production materials and tooling.
- Responsible for keeping the work area, machines, and machine tooling inventory clean and organized.
- Monitor and schedule proper preventive maintenance initiatives on the equipment.
- Communicate daily with production team, quality department, and management.
- Ensure employees are tracking productivity metrics and performance.
- Tracking productivity metrics and performance targets to ensure the machining department is effective.
- Recommends measures to improve department methods, performance and quality.
- Maintains time and production records accurately.
- Interprets, executes and recommends plans, policies, procedures and schedules.
