Job description

Responsibilities:

Discuss itinerary options with clients and suggest destinations transportation methods and lodging possibilities depending on the clients interests

Make reservations on behalf of clients for air travel car rental lodging excursions and activities while ensuring the clients preferences are met

Coordinate payment schedules for itinerary packages or other trip components with clients and process authorized payments

Offer potential clients a comprehensive price quote for destination packages

Organize and deliver itinerary materials in a cohesive manner for clients

The Independent Travel Agent will be responsible for assisting clients with reservations customer service issues car rentals and travel arrangements while continually providing superior customer service. Additionally the successful candidate will also be expected to develop sales skills thereby increasing sales and providing clients with the best travel experience.

Qualifications

No Experience necessary in making travel reservations including booking flights hotel car rentals and vacation packages

An aptitude for customer service

Ability to provide a personalized experience for clients

Excellent written and oral communication skills

High levels of organization and attention to detail

Experience traveling to multiple destinations domestically and internationally

Ability to work independently

**Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Client Consultation:** Engage with clients to understand their preferences, interests, and budget for their cruise vacation. 2. **Cruise Recommendations:** Utilize your extensive knowledge of cruise lines, ships, and destinations to suggest the most suitable cruise experiences. 3. **Itinerary Planning:** Create customized cruise itineraries, ensuring they align with clients\' expectations, including ports of call, shore excursions, and onboard activities. 4. **Booking and Reservations:** Manage the end-to-end booking process, including securing cabins, confirming reservations, and coordinating special requests. 5. **Budget Management:** Assist clients in setting and managing cruise vacation budgets, providing options that cater to their financial plans. 6. **Travel Documentation:** Ensure clients have the necessary travel documents, such as passports and visas, and guide them through the application process. 7. **Cruise Line Expertise:** Stay up-to-date on the latest offerings, promotions, and updates from various cruise lines, and share this knowledge with clients. 8. **Customer Service:** Offer exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing support throughout the cruise planning process. 9. **Payment Processing:** Handle payments, deposits, and invoice generation while maintaining accurate financial records. 10. **Crisis Management:** Be prepared to assist clients in case of emergencies or unexpected issues during their cruise vacation. **Qualifications:** - Proven experience as a Cruise Specialist or in a related role within the travel industry. - Get In-depth knowledge of various cruise lines, ships, itineraries, and destinations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in using reservation systems and cruise booking platforms. - Customer-focused mindset with a passion for creating exceptional cruise experiences. **Education:** -Background in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is helpful but not required.
