Position Overview: 

Title: Program Coordinator

Reports to : Director of Residential Services

Classification:  Non-Exempt: Non-Union

Department:  

We currently have this leadership opportunity available at each of the following programs:

Bent Crandall Program (Groton, CT)- A residential program for dually diagnosed clients, ages 18 and over.

Rite of Passage Program (New London, CT)- A residential program for young adult males, ages 18-25.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall direction, supervision, coordination and evaluation of the program for which the coordinator is assigned to. The Program Coordinator will also perform assigned administrative duties, create and organize employee schedules, monitor and evaluate employee performance and lead team members in alignment with the agency’s mission, vision and values.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb stairs. The employee frequently is required to walk, talk and/or hear; Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

A minimum of an Associates Degree in Human Services, or other related field; a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a human services related field; a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory/administrative experience; knowledge of evidence-based practices within the field of mental health/co-occurring disorders; proficient use in the use of Microsoft Office and other web-based systems; excellent written and oral communication skills. Current valid driver's license and vehicle available for use during the workday required; CPR/First Aid certified or eligible.
