Position: Commissioning Manager

Department: Operations

Reports to: Project Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)

The main duty of this role is to manage the resources to ensure the correct implementation and operation of the system. Define and align the activities, strategy, and resources with the client to execute the implementation of the technology of the systems and the implementation of these in conjunction with the client and ensure compliance with the security matrix plans.

They must also ensure budget compliance and develop and implement process improvement plans to maximize the results expected by the end customer.

They are responsible for the activities of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and configuration of the system in a close relationship with the technology group, generating a fluid communication flow to the client regarding the different deviations that may occur.

Finally, they are responsible for delivering the necessary training for the operation of the systems by the customer, and close support to the change management led by the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for carrying out HSE actions in the workplace.
• Manage the contract implementation autonomous system.
• Responsible for coordinating the administrative, technical, etc. actions of the contract.
• Responsible for preparing technical/contractual reports.
• Responsible for coordinating administrative, technical, etc. actions.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Work by all health and safety rules and regulations for TNT.
• Incorporate health and safety considerations into all daily functions and activities of the position.
• Monitor the work environment for health and safety hazards or violations and report the same to the Health and Safety Department.
• Keep the work area clean and free from clutter.
• Use appropriate equipment for the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Over 15 years' experience in construction, commissioning and start-up of industrial plants..
• 10 years' experience in commissioning of large and heavy industrial equipment, Piping and electrical assembly, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Professional Electrical Engineer or Instrumentation Engineer
• Mining experience of at least 5 years (may also have experience in construction and commissioning of industrial plants).
• Experience as Commissioning Chief. Commissioning Manager, Pre-commissioning Manager, Mechanical, Process, Electrical or related Civil Engineer.
