Job description
We are a long standing Space and Defense Group located on the outskirts of Buffalo, NY that is actively seeking an Electronics Product Engineer who has experience with closed-loop control systems and electrical hardware design to join our team in East Aurora, NY.
In this role you will provide direction to Product Engineering Technicians and coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Design Engineering, and others to maintain high-quality products and communicate with customers and suppliers. - Participate in the design, development, and qualification processes, providing DFx input
- Manage the transition from development to process-compliant production in preparation for qualification and sustaining build
- Maintain performance of production hardware, resolve engineering problems, and support Lean initiatives related to quality, delivery, and cost
- Develop Assembly/Test documentation and define assembly and test equipment
- Train production personnel, evaluate incoming hardware, troubleshooting, analysis and reduction of data, and prepare reports
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related
- 3+ years of experience working with electronics
- Basic knowledge of closed-loop control systems and electrical hardware design
