Job Summary
Our Client is looking for an Electrical Engineer with a PE License and 10+ years of oil and gas pipeline experience who will be responsible in development of meter stations, compressor stations, MLV stations, traps/receivers/launchers, pump stations, interconnects, etc.

- Oversee Electrical Engineering department and staff
- Achieves optimal electrical system operational efficiency by developing and maintaining electrical systems.
- Accomplishes operational objectives by recruiting, onboarding, and managing employees.
- Communicates job expectations, monitoring and reviews job contributions, plans and adjusts compensation actions, and enforces staff policies and procedures.
- Optimizes engineering performance by contributing engineering recommendations to strategic planning and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standard goals; resolving engineering issues; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Meets departmental financial objectives by forecasting requirements and challenges, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans and existing conditions, determining needs to accomplish operational plans, mapping solutions, updating and modifying requirements and solutions, and preparing cost estimates and budgets.
- Plans electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, planning shut-downs and installations, integrating architectural and mechanical design specifications, verifying code requirements, and updating cost estimates.
- Completes electrical projects by supervising installations and resolving design issues.
- Maintains electrical systems by establishing and enforcing ongoing maintenance schedules and procedures and testing programs, scheduling repairs, and coordinating shut-downs and installations.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by collaborating with other members of senior management.
- Manages vendor and subcontractor relationships.

Skills Required
- Candidate should Apply electrical and instrumentation engineering skills, managing projects to maintain and improve operational reliability, safety and efficiency while simultaneously contributing to business expansion opportunities
- Plan and manage base electrical project work in support of Operations, including pipeline and terminal maintenance activities as well as facility improvements
- Plan and manage electrical capital project work to enable business objectives, including scope development, cost estimation, initial design, quality review, execution, and close-out
- Participate in the management of change process by evaluating electrical technical aspects of proposed operational changes and determining potential impacts to reliability, safety, health, and the environment
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems
- Develop and maintain controls narratives describing automation at existing facilities, making recommendations as needed to improve and/or repair existing controls systems
- Steward long-term plans to improve reliability through proactive replacement of aging electrical and automation systems
- Provide support to Operations in selection, maintenance, and installation of communication systems, including specification of communication devices, protocols, and associated hardware
- Review and evaluate electrical drawing packages (including power, instrumentation, controls, and automation)
- Support reliability of power distribution systems by participating in and/or reviewing results of coordination studies and arc flash hazard analysis
- Provide knowledge and interpretations of industry-recognized standards and safe work practices
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university required
Additional Requirements
- PE required with a preference for a PE with a NCEES record.
