Job description
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Pathology is seeking an Academic Clinical Chemist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The applicant must have an MD, MD/PhD, PhD or DO; be certified by the American Board of Pathology or American Board of Clinical Chemistry; and if appropriate, have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. The ideal candidate would have considerable expertise in mass spectrometry, chemistry automation and quality assurance activity. In addition to patient care, the selected candidate will be expected to participate in medical student and house staff (resident and fellow) teaching and develop or continue his/her research program. Outstanding opportunities for basic, translational or clinical research are available throughout UT Southwestern. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
