Kforce’s client, a growing and established nationwide defense/aerospace company is seeking a Senior Program Manager. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package. This position is Hybrid Remote.Summary:The program management team is tightly integrated and highly skilled. This is a highly dynamic role in a fast-paced environment that requires proven experience in managing complex programs.Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the program lifecycle from the front end of the business, through development and into production
- Close collaboration with peer PMs to advance program performance across the portfolio is highly regarded
- Accountable for Development program performance – financial, technical, schedule, customer, and growth
- Collaborate with engineering, semiconductor partners, and customers on technology roadmaps and new product introductions
- Work across the business unit, collaborating with Business Development, Engineering, Product Development, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, and Quality
- Work with Sales and Capture Leads from various business units to scope and bound a new program; Understand the business needs and market requirements
- Create program Work Breakdown Structure, Integrated Master Schedule and contract budget baseline; Work with cross functional team to develop program schedule, risk strategies, and costs; Work with Product Managers, Contracts, Engineering, Operations, SCM and the Business Unit to create program pricing
- Identify out of scope activities and make recommendations and commitments to the customer; Negotiate additional charges, funding, and/or timeline impacts
- Interact with suppliers and customers on a proactive basis
- Exceptional presentation skills, across all levels of the organization
- Work with Engineering and New Product Introduction teams to develop IRAD and proposals
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field
- 10 years of PM experience, engineering background and MBA
- 8-10 years of experience in Program Management or similar as well as previous engineering background in aerospace and defense industry
- Knowledge of Military and Aerospace Microelectronics technology and development programs or similar
- Proven experience with customer relationship management; Exemplary interpersonal skills and achieving win/win outcomes
- Requires experience with EAC’s, EVM’s, running a product team, customer relationships, cost schedule, creating master schedules
- Strong business acumen; An ability to make business and technical trades and provide specific recommendations to senior management, partners, and the customer’s business leaders
- Strong team leadership skills in matrix management environment, driving accountability at all levels
- Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas including strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with capacity to manage business complexity and to identify and focus on top priorities
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Nice to haves:
- Technical Master of Science or Master of Engineering
- Experience with Electro-Mechanical Products is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
