Job description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Delphi Developer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing and maintaining front-end and back-end applications. This position will contribute to projects supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Delphi development
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in Embarcadero Delphi 10.3
Strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies such as Agile and Object-Oriented programming
Experience with Integrated Development Environments like Eclipse or Visual Studio
Familiarity with full release project life cycles and software configuration management
Knowledge of testing tools and methodologies, with a focus on quality and security standards
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and with clients
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and GitHub (preferred)
Experience with CMMI, ISO, and ITIL (preferred)
Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust
Responsibilities:
Adherence to current OI&T Delivery framework and VA guidance
Utilization of GitHub and ServiceNow platforms
Tracking and updating work activities in Jira
Designing and implementing solutions
Independently developing code and participating in code reviews
Designing and executing unit tests
Providing maintenance and updates to applications
Contributing to defect management and trouble ticket resolution
Participating in Agile development lifecycle activities
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Providing mentorship to junior developers
