Job description
The clinical manager works in conjunction with the Executive Director to oversee the daily operations and supervision of the clinic staff; interviews, hires, and reviews staff performance. Assists with the facilitation of a smooth flow of clients and patients to ensure minimum patient waiting time. Works within the organization by interacting with patients, clients, staff members, and providers.
The Registered Nurse (RN) has knowledge to and the responsibility of working with the patients, patients support system, and health care team (physician. nurse, medical assistant, and ancillary services), to establish set goals to reach the desired patient care outcomes.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time: M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Hire and coordinate the training of new staff members.
- Manages clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Clinical Manager also manages and supports existing staff at the clinic. They provide organization reviews and mediate any issues that may arise.
- Supervisors daily activities in the facility.
- Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks as needed.
- Assists in monitoring and analyzing provider schedules to identify problems or issues preventing a smooth patient flow
- Develop protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity.
- Ensures the entire medical operation at the office is running as smoothly as possible.
- Holds meetings and communicates with staff
- Perform annual employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help them meet professional goals.
- Establish and maintaining a positive working relationship with the clinicians.
- Assists the Executive Director in ensuring timely repairs and proper functioning of office and medical equipment.
- Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties. Participates in the planning and evaluation of patient care.
- Works with insurance companies and managed care contractors to help get medical procedures approved for patients.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Registered Nurse credentials
- Experience working in a hospital or other medical facility.
- Experience managing staff in a medical environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills o
- Analytical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decision
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Orthopedic experience preferred
