RESEARCH DATA ANALYST I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – BOATING AND WATERWAYS DIVISION / AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES BRANCH / SACRAMENTO
The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory).

As part of the California Natural Resources Agency and the Department of Parks and Recreation, DBW is a self- funded division dedicated to bringing together a body of knowledge as the state's expert in recreational boating-related matters, including public access, safety and education, marine law enforcement, and consumer and environmental protection. DBW's Aquatic Invasive Plant Control Program (AIPCP) strives to ensure that invasive aquatic plants in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta are managed to reduce the threat to economy, public health, and economy. DBW's Aquatic Invasive Plant Control Program is recruiting for a Research Data Analyst I (P/I). Please see the Duty Statement for more information.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.

The incumbent may be required to drive to field study locations and to off-site meetings, including travel to and from Sacramento office and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta boat launching facilities and the Stockton field office.A cover letter, resume and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted with your application to be considered for this position. Experience in natural resource management, GIS, and remote sensing is desired.
