Job Summary
Our client is looking for Spectrometer Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining spectrometry equipment to analyze the chemical composition of metal alloys used in the production process. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality and consistency of HRS client's products.
Job Description
- Spectrometer Operator will perform chemical testing, calculate charges, run chemistries, calculate additions, produce test reports, maintain spectrometer, prepare metallurgical samples, and process samples outside the lab.
- Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical, optical, and electrical assemblies, and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Work will be performed in a shop environment and may be required work at different non-climate-controlled workstations as production needs require.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Skills Required
- 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to use soldering tools, good dexterity and multi-task
- Ability to work alone and in groups.
- Experience with assembly and measuring tools, interpreting visual aids performing simple shop math.
- Must possess technical aptitude and comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess analytical skills.
- Must have the ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Must perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Must demonstrate honesty and integrity.
- Must possess the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Must have the ability to follow safety protocols; identify and correct or report conditions that affect employee safety.
Education/Training/Certification
- High School Degree or equivalent

Pay Rate/Salary
- Starting at $17.00/hr and more depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.
