Summary:
Hart Energy, leader in energy content, is seeking a skilled bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Role will include working closely with our accounting / finance team to create and analyze financial reports. The primary responsibility is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of Hart Energy.
Duties include but are not limited to the below. Please note that a complete job description will be provided to interviewed candidates.
- Process a high volume of A/P and A/R invoices and expense vouchers. Ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner and entered into system correctly per company policy.
- Maintain systems, policies and procedures that impact the AP/AR functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Perform the month end cut-off timing for payables activities, including monthly general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and A/P research.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to improve processing and performance.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, including reconciling vendor statements.
- Make collection calls to past due clients and process payments accordingly.
- Maintain vendor and client files, correspond with vendors/customers, respond to inquiries concerning payment and/or invoice issues.
- Maintain employee files for expense reimbursement including setting up new employees in the system.
- Coordinate invoice filing and retention
- Reconcile checks to invoices
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree highly desired.
- Minimum 3 years of AP/AR experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to balance long-term assignments with daily assignments and inquiries.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
