Overview :

Provide support to the Design team through all phases of development. Assists in the development, concept, and design of the product line.

Responsibilities :

Sketch all seasonal designs in Adobe Illustrator and prepare line review presentation materials

Support the design team in sourcing and selecting suitable fabrics, washes, trims, and embellishments for garment prototypes and production.

Attend all style fittings and provide input/feedback as necessary; Keep detailed notes from all fittings.

Communicate with domestic and overseas vendors to ensure that all requests, changes, updates, etc. are handled in a quick, concise, and thoughtful manner.

Research competitive markets through shopping, internet, and print media research. Assist in identifying seasonal fashion direction and brand right trends.

Research, develop, track, and approve all design trims for each collection within a season.

Organize all style and trim information for reference and easy access.

Previous experience or internships in fashion design preferred.

Qualifications :

Strong sketching ability in Adobe Illustrator.

Knowledge of Web PDM, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with garment construction.

Basic knowledge of fabric qualities for the garment industry.

Passion for fashion, creativity, trends, and aesthetics.

Ability to multi-task, think outside the box, be open-minded and optimistic.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present ideas

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field strongly preferred.

0-1 years of related experience.
