Description: The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a postdoctoral or more senior research position in Computational Cognitive Science, under the direction of Tom Griffiths. Ph.D. is required. Applicants should have a background in cognitive science or a related discipline such as computer science or psychology, with a research agenda focused on using mathematical, computational, and behavioral methods to understand the nature of intelligence. Specific research areas of interest include applications of large language models in cognitive science and use of Bayesian methods and metalearning to understand human cognition and AI systems. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of the applicant's previous accomplishments and their fit with ongoing research projects.
