PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for Home Health Visits

Job description
BrightStar Care of Flower Mound, TX is looking to hire a Part-time Registered Nurse to help provide compassionate, in-home care for our clients in the Flower Mound, Coppell, and Roanoke areas The Part-time RN is responsible for providing home health clinical services while ensuring quality and adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff.

Responsibilities - Perform care as defined by client's individual Plan of Care and within scope of state's nurse practice act
- Monitor patient's condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
- Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments
Requirements - Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas
- 2-5 years of experience as a registered nurse
- Mastery of peripheral IV starts/maintenance and blood draws preferred
- Experience with wound care and dressing changes
- Experience performing nursing assessments
- Reliable car with auto insurance
- Clean background and criminal record
- Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
Experience preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, self-infusion training, phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients, CVAD experience & knowledge, advanced nursing certifications (e.g., CRNI, OCN), wound care experience.
