Job description

Summary

Position open for an Infant Teacher in a NAEYC accredited Early Learning Center.

Duties

Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Meeting the individual needs of the children in your care
- Maintaining a clean, inviting classroom environment
- Rotating materials in the classroom to maintain interest or as children's developmental needs change
- Maintaining a calm, comforting demeanor in your interactions with children
- Communication with parents daily; conducting conferences at least once a year or as needed
- Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
- Share responsibility for the cleaning and care of common areas
- Cleaning and shutting down your classroom each night
This is a full time position, Mon - Fri 8:30 - 5:00

Requirements

A minimum of a CDA in Early Childhood Education is required. The ideal candidate will be continuing their education, ultimately working towards a bachelor's degree. Must have a strong knowledge of child development and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the CT ELDS and CT DOTS a plus
Familiarity with NAEYC a plus
