Art Director, Social Have you ever gotten in an argument (and won) over the difference between taupe and beige? Are you mediocre at matchmaking for your friends but GREAT at coming up with typography pairings? Have you played with just about every feature on Reels or TikTok, from transitions to duets, to develop your personal style of content? Are you literally on TikTok right now? If so, we're looking for an art director like you! AMP Agency is looking for a talented, social-savvy art director to join our fast-paced, fully remote creative team. As an art director, you'll be developing concepts and crafting visual solutions for a sizable client specializing in beauty and nutrition. You'll be instrumental in the ideation and production of social posts, digital campaigns, web assets and more, and you'll lend your talents to the creation of TikTok and Reels content. Collaborating with other designers, copywriters, creative directors, social strategists and media planners, you'll ensure the quality of visual output is incredibly high and that social deliverables are on-trend and push the envelope of creativity (no "Hello fellow kids" vibes). Social & video production will be a regular part of client deliverables; experience developing shot lists, managing prop selection, casting are necessary, but above all, we're looking for an unfiltered passion for not just consuming social content, but creating it, too. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate content creation, conceptualization, and execution across social channels and digital platforms.Translate global digital assets into short form video content for Reels, Stories and TikTok creating relevant, engaging, and on-brand short form videos from start to finish that feel platform-native.Provide art direction for production of still and moving assets. Create shot lists, manage pre- and post-production, and provide design direction of motion graphics, animation, typographic treatments, etc.Brainstorm conceptual directions, both independently and as part of an integrated teamDevelop a variety of creative materials for brand campaigns, social efforts, digital activations, websites, and printed materials, which might include design comps, moodboards, digital banners, rich media units, etc.Design and hand off assets for production with other agency departments, like video graphics, storyboards, and animated banners.Collaborate with creative directors, fellow art directors, copywriters and content creators to take ideas from concept to completion.Partner with social teams to create briefs for content creators and influencers.Participate in client and internal creative review meetings, professionally and passionately presenting the department"s work, persuasively explaining design rationale to non designers , collecting and absorbing feedback and offering solutions in real timeGuide junior team members in the development of all skills relevant to their growth as professional designers. REQUIREMENTS Hands-on experience creating photo and short format content for all social channels. A deep passion for social media and expert understanding of the latest social trends, styles and transitions.Experience leading a production as an art director, including storyboarding, casting, prop selection, shot list creation, and guiding post production.Working knowledge of best design practices for a variety of output and principles, including moodboards, typography, color selection, layout, etc.Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Instagram, TikTok, Adobe Suite, Mac OSXAbility to work on multiple projects at once and to meet deadlines on a daily basis in a team-oriented environment2-4 years of experience.Agency experience is not a requirement, however equivalent experience working for an in-house creative or marketing team is preferred. A strong portfolio of professional and/or speculative creative work with examples of writing/thinking to demonstrate abilities is required.
