Overview:
SoilSerdem is searching for Software Engineer to join our DevOps team located in Ames, IA.

The Software Engineer role performs a variety of tasks, including developing & deploying cloud services, programming functions, and managing APIs under supervision and from detailed procedures. Successful Candidates need to have a bachelor degree [or equivalent] in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related tracks.
The DevOps team programs, deploys, and maintains SoilSerdem’s cloud infrastructure which delivers the company’s products and services. SoilSerdem is seeking a full-stack developer who is experienced in building responsive web applications.
What you’ll do:
● Develop and deploy a modern web application following specified UX designs
● Develop within modern cloud environments
● Collaborate with management and DevOps team members to understand, estimate,
prioritize, and implement development requests & maintenance projects
● Assist in designing systems and components in accordance with product requirements and industry standards
● Communicates effectively with project teams
What it takes to be successful in this role:
● At least 1 year experience in software development
● Have the ability to complete projects alone or collaboratively
● Communicate well to provide reasonably accurate time estimates
● Experience in web application development & deployment concepts
● Experience in server-side programming languages & frameworks
● Follow the advice and directions of mentor(s)/supervisor(s)
