FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and values, Queens College seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor, Counselor Education vacancy in the Department of Educational and Community Programs, School of Education beginning Spring 2024.

Responsibilities include (1) teaching graduate courses in the CACREP-accredited mental health and school counseling programs (with a preference for courses in two or more of the following areas: psychopathology, assessment, human development, and/or research methods) (2) maintaining an active agenda of research and scholarly activity, and (3) advising graduate students and providing professional service consistent with the role of a university professor.

Often referred to as "the jewel of the CUNY system," Queens College is a place of contrasts: An urban school in a suburban setting, where a large and diverse student body receives personalized attention. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to Equity, Excellence, and Ethics, which are the core values of our School of Education.

With a mission to prepare students to become leading citizens of an increasingly global society, we offer a rigorous education in the liberal arts and sciences under the guidance of a faculty dedicated to both teaching and research. Our liberal arts, science, and pre-professional programs earn us high rankings in prestigious college guides such as The Princeton Review America's Best Value Colleges.
