What You Will Do
The Audio System Design Team is responsible for the development of audio systems that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property.
We are looking for an experienced individual with an innovative mind-set and a passion for Disney quality and Magical creativity. We are seeking a motivated individual who will ensure that the Disney standards are reflected consistently in all design & technical materials.
Supporting the Audio System Designers in the technical and creative production process, including producing documentation, design intent and audio drawings
Utilizing a variety of programs including AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Q-Sys Designer, SMAART, and speaker prediction software
Assisting with design and technical research
Partnering with cross-functional teams including designers, safety teams, production teams and facility teams
Assisting with prioritization, organization and problem-solving during installation, and delivery of a variety of projects
Attending and contributing at Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of audio technology and equipment
Creative problem-solving skills
Ability to learn new software applications as appropriate.
Familiarity with the Entertainment industry and a creative background
Demonstrated proficiency with general computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Education
Junior, Senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Theater (technical) or related field
Preferred Education: · Earning or completing MFA in Theater (technical) or related field
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando Florida area and have reliable transportation to/from work

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025
