Valiant is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) Program Manager (PM) to manage a technical contract in Southeast Virginia for a USG client. The PM’s responsibilities include recruiting and maintaining staff as well as monitoring costs, schedules and expenditures. The PM may participate in other portions of the contract to include technical projects and training exercises. The PM shall coordinate and participate in all contract reviews and work closely with Sponsor management, the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative to assign, prioritize and manage work assignments. The PM will also be expected to handle any performance issues, status reporting, contract finances and invoicing.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience managing contracts of similar size and scope.
- Direct experience in project management to include financial management, recruiting and staffing.
- Demonstrated strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent people skills, sound judgement and solid situational awareness in any environment.
- Flexible and able to work well in a stressful environment handling multiple managerial and technical tasks.
- Excellent organizational, reporting and briefing skills.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and audio-visual equipment.
- A Top Secret//SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
- Travel to Northern Virginia and other locations in CONUS may be required.
