Southeastern Directions for Life has a full-time opening for a Residential Manager at one of our residential homes in Sioux Falls. Our mission is "empowering people to discover their directions for life in a changing world."

JOB SUMMARY:  The Residential Manager (RM) will supervise all aspects involved in the operation of a residential facility including the staff and individuals supported in that residential area. This includes interviewing and training of new staff, scheduling, and facilitating effective working relationships between staff and people supported. The RM will maintain positive working relationships with other departments and communicate with family members of the people we support in an effort to maintain a positive relationship between them and other family members. You may act as an advocate for the individuals in communicating their needs, self expressions, and goals. Southeastern operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Flexibility during emergencies and inclement weather is required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays when necessary and cover or fill in for open shifts. The Residential Manager is also responsible for the upkeep of the facility and all day to day operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:   High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Either 2 years supervisory experience and/or experience working with people with disabilities required. Must have a current driver's license, car insurance, and a driving record acceptable to Southeastern’s insurance provider. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check to include fingerprinting, Dept. of Social Services Central Registry check, Motor Vehicle background check, and drug screening.

Job Requirements
High School Diploma, Associates/Bachelors degree in a helping profession preferred and a minimum of 2 (two) years experience working with children and/or young adults who have disabilities. Prior supervisor experience preferred, not required. You must have a current driver's license, car insurance and a driving record acceptable to Southeastern's Insurance provider. You must also pass a comprehensive criminal background check to include fingerprinting, drug screening and Dept. of Social Services Central Registry check. Must have good computer skills with knowledge of internet/e-mail use.
